Early Season Events Announced for 2022 NOHIO.GOLF Series

We’re shaking up the early part of the 2022 tournament schedule for the NOHIO.GOLF Series!

For the last three years, we’ve kicked off the season with The Quarry 2-Man Scramble at The Quarry Golf Club in Canton, played on the first Saturday in April. We’ve always had an incredible response to this event, with last year’s entries topping out at a whopping 64 two-player teams.

So for 2022, The Quarry 2-Man Scramble will stay in that same calendar slot, to be played this year on April 2nd.

But the last two years have brought fantastic weather in March, and no events in which to play. So this year, we’re rolling the dice and changing things up.

We’re moving our Turkeyfoot Stableford + Skins event from mid-April to March 19, 2022, so it’s now the first event on the Tournament Calendar. The stableford format is perfect for an opener, as it’s individual points with more prizes in the skins pot than the tournament pot. So fire at the flags then pick up if you can’t make par.

Turkeyfoot drains well and always seems to be dry even in the earliest part of spring. So if the temperatures cooperate in the least, we should be good to go. Let’s see if we get lucky with some early spring weather — and if not, we’ll reschedule until we can play.

Looking out the window at all of the snow on the ground right now, this may be a bit of a risky move. But if it’s sunny and 55 on March 19th, we look like geniuses!

Entries for these first two events will open on March 1st. Watch this website for the announcement of the rest of the season’s schedule, coming soon.
