Nick Palladino fired rounds of 71-69 for a 4-under par total of 140, which included a sizzling 31 on the final nine, to leave no doubt as to who would be the winner of the 2012 Manakiki Course Championship.
In the process, Palladino set a new Manakiki Course Championship scoring record, too.
Steve Blackburn Sr. rode a strong 3-under par front nine to a second day score of 69, good for a two-day total of 3-under par 141 and a one shot victory in the 2012 Senior Cleveland Amateur Championship.
Known as “Senior” at the Greater Cleveland Skins Game where he is a leaderboard fixture season after season, Blackburn ended Norton Brick’s two year run as the Senior Cleveland Am champ with this win, his first in the event.

2009 Big Met Course Champion Drew Thompson of Avon Lake and his partner Allen Freeman of Brecksville scraped their way to a 3-shot victory at the Big Met Spring Tour 2-Player Scramble/Better Ball on Saturday in Fairview Park.

Some familiar names were part of the winning team at the 2012 Sleepy Hollow 4-Player Scramble, the first event of the Cleveland Metroparks Spring Tour tournament season.
The team of Joe Mannix, Brad Poe, Dave Stover and Bill Randorf posted 12-under par 59 and won the back-nine score tie-breaker to capture first place.
