The NOHIO.GOLF Series will conduct a 2-player better ball event on Saturday, April 16th at a spectacular-looking “southern” course: Oak Shadows Golf Club in New Philadelphia.
Oak Shadows joined Northern Ohio Golf as a new Course Member last year, after William Stokey and his sons, Mike and Steve, bought the property at auction in December of 2020. The family also owns Union Country Club in Dover.
Now managed by pro Craig McConnell, PGA of Bobby Jones Links, everyone involved is committed to offering a premier public golf facility. And it shows: the golf course property itself is beautifully panoramic and the course conditions are solid. A new clubhouse is planned for 2023.
We look forward to playing this early season scratch four ball event under our “variable tees by age” format at a course that is new to our Series. And we hope going a bit further south in mid-April will provide a boost to the thermometer by a few degrees!
