The Greater Cleveland Amateur Golf Championship will be played this year at Manakiki Golf Course in Willoughby Hills on August 11 – 13. This 3-day, 54-hole individual stroke play championship is one of the highlights of the amateur tournament calendar in Northern Ohio, with one of the region’s strongest fields.
The Cleveland Am offers a couple dozen players some performance-based exemptions into the event proper, either as a past champion, a top finisher in the prior year’s event, a year-long points list winner, or as the winner of some other big tournaments across the region.
But if you haven’t earned one of those exemptions, you’ll have to qualify by participating in one of the five Course Championships run by Cleveland Metroparks Golf.
Entries are now open for all of the 2-day, 36-hole Cleveland Metroparks’ Course Championships played this July:
July 8 – July 9 – Manakiki Course Championship
July 8 – July 9 – Big Met Course Championship
July 15 – July 16 – Sleepy Hollow Course Championship
July 22 – July 23 – Seneca Course Championship
July 29 – July 30 – Shawnee Hills Course Championship
There are only 60 spots available for entry in each of these Course Championships / Cleveland Am Qualifiers, so register now…
