Cleveland Metroparks Golf conducted five Course Championships over the last two weekends, resulting in a quite a change in the Player of the Year standings.
With a runner-up finish at Sleepy Hollow and top ten finish at Manakiki, Brian Polick has taken a solid lead.
Polick’s 113 points puts him 29 ahead of Jack Garswood, who now sits in second. 2017 POY Jason Jendre sits in third place with 82, followed by AJ Borisa with 76 and 2018 POY Steve Blackburn Jr. with 75.
Andrew Jendre still leads the Senior Division with 74 points after his third place finish at the Seneca Championship. Rob Schustrich has shot up to second place only two points behind Jendre, after earning points with a top-ten at Sleepy Hollow and finishing regulation play tied for first at Manakiki.
Still many points to be had at the Greater Cleveland Amateur Championship at Manakiki on August 9 – 11, with 50 points going to the winner and four points less for each place down through 10th.
