After the four Course Championships/Cleveland Am Qualifiers conducted over the last two weekends, David Sotka has held onto the top spot of the Cleveland Metroparks Golf Player of the Year points race with 87 points courtesy of a second place finish at the Manakiki Course Championship. Sotka is a four-time CMG POY winner.
Steve Blackburn closed the gap with a win at Manakiki, propelling him into second place with 79 points.
Jack Garswood, who won at Big Met and had a top-ten at Shawnee Hills, is now in third place on the season. He is just one point ahead of James Weikamp and Ryan Stefanski, who both placed well at Sleepy Hollow.
Top-ten finishes in the Senior Greater Cleveland Am and the Sleepy Hollow Course Championship has given Allen Freeman a commanding 40 point lead in the Senior Division.
