With the Spring Series completed, Brian Polick stands atop the regular division and Allen Freeman the senior division of the Cleveland Metroparks Player of the Year race.
In the regular division, the top five on the points list are exempt from having to qualify for the Greater Cleveland Amateur Championship (GCAC) at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course in Brecksville on August 12, 13, 14.
The Committee has decided to also extend exemptions to the top two players on the senior’s points list.
The next event upcoming is the Senior Master’s Greater Cleveland Amateur Championship for players age 60 and over at Big Met on July 13 & 14. This event does not earn senior POY points.
The following week, Big Met hosts the Senior Greater Cleveland Amateur Championship on July 20 & 21, for players age 50 and over. Senior POY points are awarded for this event.
Those two senior events are followed by the course championships and GCAC qualifiers at Manakiki and Shawnee Hills on July 16 & 17, and Sleepy Hollow and Big Met on July 23 & 24.
