With a second place finish at the Shawnee Hills Stroke Play Tournament, Steve Blackburn Jr. held onto his #1 position in the Cleveland Metroparks Golf Player of the Year points race.
With 170 points he is now 15 points ahead of Nick Anagnost, who moved from third to second place with his win at Shawnee.
Brian Polick is now in third place with 148 points, and David Sotka with 131 sits in fourth place.
A.J. Borisa jumped into the #5 slot with his top 5 finish at Shawnee, up from 8th.
Paul LaGrotteria was the only senior player to earn points at Shawnee, and that moved him into 5th place in the senior race and 14th in the main division. The season-ending Bonus Pool will cover the top 5 point earners in the Senior Division.
The next event on the 2016 CMG tournament schedule is the Bill Barbour Cup at Sleepy Hollow on Saturday, September 10th.
