With back-to-back victories in the Sleepy Hollow 2-Player Better Ball and the Seneca Stroke Play, Brian Polick has jumped into the lead in the 2016 Cleveland Metroparks Golf Player of the Year Point Series race.
Polick, with 72 points, leads the 2015 POY runner-up Steve Blackburn Jr. by six points.
A third place finish at Seneca has propelled Bill Speirs into third place with 51 points.
The Seneca event was the last chance for the regular division players to earn points until the Course Championships and Greater Cleveland Amateur in July and August.
Allen Freeman still leads the Senior Division with 27 points, ahead of Mark Borlin by 3 points who jumped into second with a top-ten finish at Seneca.
Nothing but senior points on the line this week at the Sleepy Hollow Senior Scramble.
