With a win at the Bill Barbour Cup, Steve Blackburn Jr. was able to close the gap on leader David Sotka — but only by 4 points!
Sotka teamed up with Niko Anangost to finish in third place at the Barbour and add to his season-long total.
With two events left, Sotka is 22 points ahead of Blackburn. Based on the points still available to be earned in the last two events, Anangost and Blackburn are the only players with chance to catch Sotka and win Cleveland Metroparks Player of the Year.
The Big Met 2-Player Scramble on September 26 and the Tour Championship at Manakiki on October 3 are the final two events of the 2015 season. At the conclusion of the Tour Championship a bonus pool of Metroparks non-merchandise gift cards will be paid out to the top ten Player of the Year point earners.
