David Sotka added a Manakiki Course Championship victory to a fourth place finish in the Greater Cleveland Amateur Championship to take a strong lead (and perhaps go back-to-back?) in the Cleveland Metroparks Player of the Year points race.
Sotka with 92 points is 18 ahead of Nick Palladino with 74 points, and 20 ahead of Jonathan Riemer with 72 points.
Scott Saari is in fourth with 58 points, and Steve Blackburn Jr. is fifth with 56 points.
There are three more events left this fall to earn points, with the top-ten points leaders for 2013 splitting a Bonus Pool that is projected to be over $2000 in Cleveland Metroparks golf gift cards. These cards can be used towards not only merchandise, but also green fees, carts fees, future tournaments entries and other golf related items.
