The players who make up the four teams competing in the 2023 Haase Cup at Firestone Country Club’s North Course on Saturday, April 22 have been announced.
Teams from the Central Ohio Junior Academy, Northern Ohio PGA Juniors, Toledo Junior Golf Association and North Coast Junior Tour will compete in the 23rd playing of this long-running junior competition.
The Northern Ohio PGA Juniors are the defending champions, earning 418 points in the 2022 Joe Haase Cup under the new Stableford Stroke Play format. Central Ohio finished a close second with 402 points.
Chris Pollak (NOPGA) shot 33-35–68 for the low round of the day in 2022, making 6 birdies. Dylan Dunn (NOPGA) had the second best round with 36-36–72 and 6 birdies. McKenzie Miller (COGA) shot 41-35–76 with 4 birdies and was low scorer in the girls division. Grant Mylen (NCJT) had 4 birdies and an eagle for 30 points.
