In a letter sent by email to members last Sunday, the board of Rosemont Country Club in Fairlawn “had to make the decision to close the club at the end of this year unless an unforeseen opportunity presents itself that will allow the club to remain open.”

Dear Members,
Our annual membership meeting was held on Wednesday, November 20 with the future of the club as the topic of the meeting.
The 2020 Proposed Dues letter asking our members to respond with their “commitment” or “refusal” to the proposed new dues structure resulted as follows:

The club has endured losses the past 2 years of over $500,000. Without the support of the membership accepting the 2020 Proposed Dues increase, the board had to make the decision to close the club at the end of this year unless an unforeseen opportunity presents itself that will allow the club to remain open.
As a result of the meeting, a group of our members came together and are actively working to come up with a strategy to keep the club open. The Board appreciates the personal time and efforts our members are giving to help our club. We are open to any options and suggestions and are hopeful that we can find a way to remain open.
