Due to weather late on Friday, the Shawnee Hills Course Championship and Greater Cleveland Amateur Championship Qualifier was shortened to a one-day event on Sunday. Thank you to Superintendent Brad Vecchio and his staff for being able to prepare great playing conditions after the weather postponement.
Colin Burns shot 3-under par 68 on Sunday to win the Shawnee Hills Course Championship by three strokes over Chris Okeson. Colin played solid golf, carding only one bogey all day. Tim Cebula rounded out the top three with a 1-over par 72.
76 was the number required to qualify out of Shawnee Hills for the Greater Cleveland Amateur Championship. The top-8 and ties of players not already exempt have now qualified for the GCAC at Manakiki on Aug 11-13.
