Adam Frey + Matt Mullen shot 7-under par 64 to win the 2023 Bill Barbour Cup, a six-hole jumble format tournament played Saturday at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course in Brecksville.
Frye and Mullen shot 1-under par 23 on the first six holes of scramble, a blistering 4-under par 18 on the middle six holes of better ball that included an eagle-2 on the shortened par-4 ninth hole, and a 2-under par 23 on the last six of modified alternate shot that included another eagle on the par-4 18th hole, with the tees moved up there as well.
The eagle chip-ins were both required to win, as the pair only won by a single shot over the teams of Andrew Malkus + Ryan Malkus and Rick Deichert + Ryan Wirtz.
