RESULTS: 2019 CMG Am/Senior Better Ball

A hole-in-one and an eagle on a par-4 by Nick Anagnost was not enough to overcome the birdie-birdie-birdie finish of Andrew and Jason Jendre.

The father-and-son Jendre team played flawless golf, recording six birdies and no bogeys.

The Jendre’s 6-under par 65 gave them a two shot victory over Anagnost and partner Mark Foss. Nick holed out for eagle on the long third hole, the toughest par-4 on the course, then followed that with a hole-in-one on the 12th.

Third place went to the team of University of Michigan player Sophia Trombetta and senior partner Mike Devine, who shot 2-under 70.

Next events in the Cleveland Metroparks Player of the Year Series will be the Senior Cleveland Am and all of the various Course Championships/Cleveland Am Qualifiers in July, then the Greater Cleveland Amateur Championship at Manakiki in August.
