On a schizophrenic weather day filled with alternating wind, rain, sun, and heat, Brian Smith of Amherst defended his 2014 title by shooting even par 72 on Sunday at the 2015 Cleveland Metroparks Golf Seneca Stroke Play Tournament.
With the week’s prior rains, the golf course was a bit wet and the rough was thick. The gusty winds kept the scoring in check, too, making an even-par total a solid number.
Tying for second place one shot back at 1-over par 73 were three players: Tim Morrow, Ryan Stefanski and three-time Player of the Year Dave Sotka.
