Tim Ailes of Lewis Center, OH picked up his second victory of the season on the Lake Erie Golf Tour, winning the event played Thursday at Aurora Golf Club.
Ailes made seven birdies on the day — including the first four holes on the back nine — on his way to a 5-under par score of 66 and a two stroke win over runner-up Steve Lee.
With the win, Ailes seems to have turned the LEGT into his own piggybank, as now leads the 2011 LEGT Money List with $2,175.
In the Open Amateur division, Zach Glassman cruised to his third win of the 2011 season, firing a 1-under par 70 to win by nine shots.
The next scheduled LEGT event will be Thursday, June 30th at Tam O’Shanter Golf Course in Canton.
