Kyle Buzaki was able to maintain his Day 1 lead, posting an even par 70 at Windmill Lakes on Sunday afternoon. Kyle had four birdies on his card and will take a two-stroke lead into the final day of the Northeast Ohio Amateur Championship. Buzaki, Mason Deal and Vaughn Snyder, who both sit two back, will make up the final group at 11:10 a.m. Monday.
Vaughn Snyder was able to extend his lead to five strokes in the Mid-Amateur Division following the second round. Snyder will have more than just a Mid-Amateur division win on his mind on Monday, as he is in striking distance of the lead in the Championship Division.
Mark Borlin and Robert Schustrich will play together on Monday for the third straight day as the two matched each other at 2-over par for the tournament. Borlin got to this point with back-to-back 71’s on Saturday and Sunday, while Schustrich was able to put together a one-under par 69 after a 73 on Saturday. Concord native Brad Steven will round out the final grouping in the Senior Division, sitting just one back of the lead after two days.
Klaira Paramore built on her lead in the NEOWA Championship Division on day two posting a 78. The 2024 G-MAC All-Conference recipient will enter the final day at Windmill Lakes with a 17 stroke lead in her division.
Fiona Connor matched her day one score of 83 on day two of the NEOWA. The University Heights native holds a six stroke lead over Gail Hackett going into day three.
