PREVIEW: 2022 Akron District Golf Association

Opening Day for the Akron District Golf Association is just two weeks away!

As always, the season-opening event is the Parke H. Thornton 2 Man Better Ball at Turkeyfoot Lake Golf Links in Akron on Saturday, May 7th. Get your entries in now, a big field is expected.

This year we are heading to Brookledge Golf Course in Cuyahoga Falls for the ADGA 4 Man Scramble on Saturday, May 28th.

Then the Bud Light ADGA 3 Man Shamble will be played at Chippewa Golf Club in Doylestown on Saturday, June 25th.

Finally we’ll close out the season with the ADGA Golfer of the Year Tournament. We will head to a new site for this event, Alliance Country Club, on Sunday, July 31st. To be eligible to play in the ADGA GOY event in 2022, you must play in at least three of the five ADGA points tournaments, which are the 3 ADGA events listed above, the Turkeyfoot 2 Man Scramble on Saturday May 14th, and/or the Ungvary 2 Man Jumble at Good Park on Saturday June 11th.

Entry fees for 2022 will remain the same as last year for all ADGA events: $105 per player includes green fees, cart, optional pots, and a $5 admin fee. No membership fee is required to participate in any of the ADGA or ADGA points events.

I looking forward to seeing everyone in a couple of weeks at Turkeyfoot!
