Manakiki will be the site of this year’s first event with a Two-Player Scramble on Sunday, May 3. A two-player event follows at Big Met and then the Sleepy Hollow event which has traditionally been a 4-player scramble is now a 2-player better-ball on Saturday, June 6.
The summer brings the usual line-up of Course Championships and Men’s, Senior Men’s and Women’s Greater Cleveland Amateur (GCAC).
This year’s Men’s GCAC 54-hole championship will return to Manakiki on August 7 – 9. Normally, this would be the year for Sleepy Hollow to host, but the decision was made to go back to Manakiki while the installation of $1.5 million dollar irrigation system continues at Sleepy Hollow.
We’re also excited to announce that the Greater Cleveland Amateur will once again be recognized as a World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) event.
The Fall will see the Bill Barbour Cup move from early October to Sunday, September 13. The Tour Championship at Manakiki moves up one week earlier to Saturday, October 3.

The Cleveland Metroparks golf event season will see a return of its most popular events and the Player of the Year Point Series in 2015. The big question is can David Sotka reign for a fourth year in a row? Over 120 golfers earned POY points last year. If participation levels in all events is the same as last year the top ten point earners will be paid in Metroparks gift cards out of a pool of over $1,700! These gift cards can be used not just for golf, but anywhere in the Cleveland Metroparks — including the Zoo!
