The 2010 SCAGA season kicks off soon!
The Stark County Amateur Golf Association starts its season with a 2-Man Scramble at Zoar Village Golf Course on April 25th.
Tee times start at 7:30 a.m. off the front and back nines. We’re looking at a 2 hour window with the last tee times at 9:30 a.m. Event fees are $35 plus greens fees per man, with the option to ride or walk.
New this year, the skins game will be an optional $20 per man Class Skins only, eliminating ‘big skins’.
After that, the SCAGA season will feature one event per month. We’ll start with a two day individual event in May with afternoon tee times at Tannenhauf and Sable Creek, with greens fees that are very affordable.
Our event in June is scheduled as a Bramble (scramble off the tee and then best ball from that point) but may become an individual event. We’ll keep you informed as we get closer to that date.
Our Stark County Amateur has the same great courses we had last year: Prestwick CC, Seven Hills CC and The Sanctuary GC. No cut this year but it will be your option to play on Sunday. We only charge for the first two days play and we are getting discounted rates for Sunday.
Our last event will be August 15th at Chippewa, an individual stroke play tournament to end our season.
We welcome all levels of players to our events. But since we have three flights, we require some verified tournament scores or a USGA handicap to play in our B division for new players.
Hope to see everyone at the Stark County Amateur Golf Association events starting in April!
