Lake Erie Golf Tour Fails to Hold Tour Championship, Final Three Tournaments

Lake Erie Golf TourThe finish to the 2012 season of the Lake Erie Golf Tour was a deathly quiet one: the last three scheduled dates on the tournament calendar were never played, including last Friday’s Tour Championship.

That final event, which was promoted as having a $1,000 guaranteed first place prize and was to be played at Chippewa Golf Club in Doylestown, did not happen as scheduled. The LEGT website has not been updated past a call for entries for that final event, either.

An email request for an update from Tour director Chris Marino went unanswered.

To the positive, it appears that all players have been paid in full for past event winnings, and no one is owed any money.

But regardless, finishing on such a low note may make a 2013 comeback incredibly difficult for the LEGT…

  1. Chris has done everything he can do to have good one day mini tour events. I’m not sure why he isn’t getting bigger fields. He does everyth.ing by the book and pays on the spot. What else can you ask for? Hats of to you Chris , I hope 2013 is better.
