The birdies were flying at Pleasant Hills on Thursday, as six of the nine holes were birdied on the night. Newcomer Scott Mackar and Rob Shustrich were the two players who found their way to the pay window with skins worth $135.00 each: Mackar birdied the par-3 5th hole and Shustrich birdied the par-4 7th hole.
But Mackar was the big winner on the evening, as he also took two pin shots on holes five and eight worth $30 each.
Mike Angie, the leader of the Greater Cleveland Skins Game season-long money list, also cashed with a pin shot on the third hole worth another $30. Angie in nearing the magic $1,000 number for the season with hopes of earning his first Thompson Cup.
Next week, the Greater Cleveland Skins Game moves to Quail Hollow CC on Thursday at 5 p.m. with a $25 golf/cart rate. All amateurs are welcome. Please note the Quail Hollow dress code of collared shirts required and no jeans. 2009 schedule here.
