FINAL RESULTS: 2014 Big Met Course Championship

Tyler McHugh used a couple of late birdies and a four shot lead heading into the final round to defend his title as Big Met Course Champion.

Tyler’s four shot lead had shrunk to a single shot before birdies on holes 16 and 17 pushed him to a total of 7-under par 137 and victory. Brian Smith put the pressure on McHugh with a 3 under par front nine, finishing at 139 and in second place two shots back.

Jack Garswood finished in third place with a closing 39-30=69 by going 5-under par on the last four holes.

All players at a score of 150 and better advance to the Greater Cleveland Amateur Championship at Manakiki on August 8th, 9th, and 10th.
