The Greater Cleveland Skins Game is pleased to announce that its 2012 Greater Cleveland Shoot-Out will be held once again on Labor Day Monday, September 3 at Fowlers Mill Golf Course starting at 12 noon.
The $800 first place prize is guaranteed courtesy of sponsors: Bob Sotka Painting, Blonde John’s Tickets and raffle ticket sales to allow amateurs to “play like the pros for a day” in this unique event started 22 years ago by the late Ed Tresger, owner of Fairway Pines Golf Course.
“Fowlers Mill will offer players a special $35 greens fee on a holiday (normally $57!),” says tournament director John Niedzialek. “Our purse was over $2000 last year and we hope to at least match that this year.”
Entry into this event is limited. Players must qualify to enter the Shoot-Out by playing in 5 or more Thursday Skins Game events (or any past champion can play in just 3 or more events).
Last year’s champion is Dan Predovic of Berea.
Guaranteed first place prize will be $800, with additional prizes based on the number of entries.
The Shoot-Out event entry fee is $60 per player plus the $35 green fee, with optional side games and skins pots also available.
Entry deadline is Friday, September 1st at 5 p.m. “” no exceptions will be made to respect the sponsors and history of the tournament. Players MUST have their $60 entry fee in by that deadline to play. Entry fee may be sent to John Niedzialek, 6875 Morley Rd. Concord, Ohio 44077 or it can be mailed or dropped off at Chardon Lakes Golf Course (make all checks payable to John Niedzialek).
