John NiedzialekThe Greater Cleveland Skins Game held its annual planning meeting on Monday and made a significant rules change for the 2015 competitions.

“A major rule change was suggested and approved that will hopefully attract more players,” stated John Niedzialek, the Skins Game Director.

The Game will now allow senior players age 55 and older, plus any player with a 5.1 handicap or higher, to make use of the forward tee box at each course.

Greater Cleveland Skins GamePlayers in the handicap category of 5.1 or higher will need to provide a USGA standard handicap card if they want to hit from the upper tee box.

All other rules remained the same, with the $30 entry fee still in place, plus reduced greens fee rates at nearly every host course.

“We are putting together the schedule now and look forward to our 25th anniversary year!”

The 2015 Greater Cleveland Skins Game schedule will be announced just after April 1st.

Mulligans Bar and Grill in Highland Hts. has again agreed to sponsor the Greater Cleveland Skins Game with a $500 donation toward the Mulligan’s Cup Points Race.
