Cleveland Metroparks Golf Updates 2015 Cleveland Am Exemptions

Cleveland Metroparks Golf
The pros running the Cleveland Metroparks Golf tournament series realized they missed a needed correction heading into the 2015 season, and have decided to take steps now to correct it.

Sleepy Hollow pro John Fiander sent word today on the joint decision of the Cleveland Metroparks Golf professional staff:

In the last year we have received many comments from players about the exemptions into the Greater Cleveland Amateur. For several years we have exempted all winners of ADGA events and other associations into the Championship. But we realized that the 2-player and 4-player Cleveland Metroparks Golf Spring and Fall tournament winners were not given the same reward. That oversight was to be changed for 2015, but it did not happen on the Cleveland Am entry blank.

With that said, we are announcing that for 2015 all winners of Cleveland Metroparks events that are a part of the Player of the Year Series will be exempted into the Greater Cleveland Amateur Championship at Manakiki on August 7-9.

For 2016, we will be revising of our exemption categories in an attempt to provide the strongest field possible. Those changes will be announced with the release of the 2016 schedule and entry blanks.
