Cleveland Metroparks Golf has released its 2016 Player of the Year Tournament Series schedule, and the total number of events has increased yet again.
The Greater Cleveland Amateur Championship returns to Sleepy Hollow Golf Course in Brecksville for 2016, after having been played the last two years at Manakiki. “Get ready for those brand new back tees at 6, 12 and 17!” host pro John Fiander declared.
A Spring Stroke Play event at Shawnee Hills has been added to the schedule, bringing the Player of the Year event series to a whopping 17 tournaments for 2016.
Competitors will once again earn points for each event in which they have a high finish, and the top 10 point winners on the season will earn gift cards of descending value good for use at any Cleveland Metroparks property.
The FOUR TIMES IN A ROW defending CMG Player of the Year is Dave Sotka of Chardon.
