Cleveland’s Jack Garswood is the 2019 Cleveland Metroparks Golf Player of Year.
The results of last weekend’s Big Met 2-Player Scramble did not change the standings at the top of the points list. That left Garswood with 143 points in total on the year, and with it the title.
Garswood had top-ten finishes in five CMG events in 2019, including a victory at the Seneca Stableford.
This was Jack’s breakthrough year after finishing third in the points race the last two years.
2018 CMG POY champ Steve Blackburn Jr. finished the season in second place with 140 points.
Brian Polick had his best year in CMG events, ending up in third place with 131 points.
Rob Schustrich had a great run this season as well, taking Senior Player of the Year honors while finishing in fourth place in the main division.
