After leading after the first two rounds, the Ohio team members each shot 77 in the final round and fell far.
Ohio players Brandon Pluchinsky of North Lima (formerly of Youngstown State), Jeffrey Scohy of Bellbrook (south of Dayton), and Bill Williamson of Cincinnati finished in a tie for 19th place in the 2016 USGA Men’s State Team Championship at the Country Club of Birmingham in Birmingham, AL.
The event features 54 holes with 18 holes of stroke play for three days, three players from each state. The two lowest scores of the three individual rounds count as the team’s score for the round.
