There is a new leader in the clubhouse in the chase for the Thompson Cup!
Erron Gomez has taken the top of the Leaderboard with a double-dip pin shot and birdie skin at Chardon Lakes Golf Course on Thursday. The weather conditions were ideal and the course was in great shape.
With a skins pot of over $1000, Gomez took home $414 for his skin on the 190-yard par three 14th hole, and the Mulligan’s Pin Shot there worth another $144.
The only other skin went to Dan Predovic who had the only birdie on the relatively easy 520-yard par five 12th hole for $414. That big dollar skin jumps Dan into second place on the Leaderboard.
Oddly enough, the most difficult hole on the course, the 440 yard par four 16th hole, had four birdies made on it! That is the way skin games go.
Jarrod Dixon rounded out the night by grabbing the pin shot on the 170 yard 11th hole for $108.
Next Week, the Greater Cleveland Skins Game moves to Punderson State Park Golf Course in Newbury with a great rate of $16 starting at 4:45 pm.
