For the first time since Week 11, the Greater Cleveland Skins Game has a new — but familiar — name atop the Leaderboard.
And another player double-dipped his way to a big Week 18 haul after rain delayed the start.
As a nice warm-up for this weekend’s Cleveland Am, the Skins Game went to Sleepy Hollow Golf Course in Brecksville. Brian Pollick wasted no time as he birdied the opening par-four 10th hole for the first skin of the evening.
Then in double-dip fashion, Pollick earned the Mulligan’s Pin Shot on the only par-3 on the back nine at Sleepy, the 150-yard 12th hole, worth $126.00.
But Pollick didn’t convert the putt, and Phil Bojc birdied that par-3 12th hole for his skin.
Then four-times-in-a-row defending Thompson Cup winner Steve Blackburn Jr. made a skin on the twisting par-five 14th hole.
Skins paid $144.66 each, and that amount was enough to move Blackburn to the top of the Leaderboard for his chance at five Skins-Game titles in a row!
Next week is a Double Down Event at Fowlers Mill Golf Course in Chesterland starting at 5pm. The entry fee is doubled to $60, and players must have participated in at least four or more Skin Game events this year to be eligible to compete.
