Bill Speirs made the most of his opportunities at Manikiki on Thursday, where the course offered unusual roll and played short but tricky due to the dry conditions.
Speirs grabbed the pin shot on the 170-yard 11th hole good for $45, then followed it up making a 25-foot putt for eagle on the par-five 12th hole for a skin worth $115.
Mike Dota cashed in on a skin with a 20-foot birdie putt on the 11th hole good for $115.
Brian Polick of Middleburg Hts. finally got his turn at making a skin with a birdie on the always difficult par-four 10th hole.
Nick Anagnost grabbed the Mulligan’s Pin Shot on the 200-yard 15th hole good for $60. That pin shot moved Niko into the second spot on the 2016 Leaderboard.
Dan Predovic is still the leader in the 2016 race for the Thompson Cup.
