Twenty seven players showed up at Manikiki Thursday making it a huge Skins pot! And with one skin, a new name sits atop the 2015 Leaderboard.
First, Nick Anagnost got things rolling with a double-dip, winning both the pin shot and a birdie skin on the 180 yard 11th hole. Nick’s pin shot paid $81.
Then Steve Blackburn Jr. made the only birdie on the 200-yard par thee 15th hole for a skin.
Finally, it was newcomer Jack Garswood who took a piece of the pie, as he had the only birdie on the short par four 16th hole for a skin.
Skins were worth $205.33.
Bill Speirs grabbed the Mulligan’s Pin Shot on the 15th hole worth $108.
While the race tightens for 2015 Thompson Cup, 3-time defending champion Steve Blackburn Jr. puts his name in a familiar place with this week’s skin, as he jumps into the lead by three bucks and change!
Next week will be another late starting time with the Skins Game traveling east to at Erie Shores GC in Madison starting at 5:30pm.
