The stakes were doubled and sixteen players took a shot at the $960 skins pot on Thursday night at Fowlers Mill.
Three skins were out and Mike Angie was the big winner, posting his name to the leaderboard for the first time this season.
Mike captured the Mulligan’s Pin Shot on the 200-yard par three 3rd hole worth a cool $128, and then drained the putt to capture a skin worth $245.33.
Then it was Dan Prevovic‘s turn, as a birdie on the relatively easy par-five 5th hole held up for a skin.
Last year’s champion and this year’s leader Steve Blackburn Jr. solidified his lead by making birdie on the 190-yard par-three 7th hole for the last skin on the night.
And Chris Horne grabbed the pin shot on the 7th hole worth $96.00
In unusual fashion, no players could birdie the 1st, 8th, or 9th holes at Fowlers Mill. However the difficult 4th and 6th holes were tied out with birdies!
Next week, the Skins Game moves out to Powderhorn Golf Course in Madison starting at 5pm. All amateur players are welcome!
