2014 Greater Cleveland Skins Game: Week 5 Results

Greater Cleveland Skins GameThe weather was not cooperative at Quail Hollow on Thursday, but nine players participated after the thunderstorms passed and the chilly weather moved in.

Brian Perkins of Hambden Twp. made the most of it by grabbing the only pin shot of the night at the back nine on the Weiskopf Course and making the putt for a birdie skin. Perkins knocked it to about 8 feet on the 165-yard 16th hole.

Perkins moves into the second position in the race for the Thompson Cup, less than $7 out of first place.

Long-hitting Nick Anagnost brought the difficult 600-yard par-five 14th hole to its knees by making the only birdie there.

Perkins’ pin shot was worth $63 and each skin was worth $103.50 each.

The race to the Thompson Cup continues next week as players make their way down to The Fairways of Twin Lakes in Kent with a 5 p.m. start.
