It was “Double Down” night at the Greater Cleveland Skins Game at Legend Lakes Country Club and the Blackburn family was all smiles.
The dynamic duo of Steve Blackburn Sr. and Steve Jr. stole the show and all the cash on the night.
Steve Blackburn Jr. made a deuce skin on the 150-yard par three 6th hole and also grabbed both pin shots on the 4th and 6th holes. His skin paid $299 and the pin shots were worth $104 for the Mulligans Pin Shot and $74 for the other pin shot.
Steve Blackburn Jr.’s big night puts him over $2,000 won for the season, and he becomes the first player in Skins Game history to reach that mark.
Steve Sr. was the only player to birdie the 380-yard par four 3rd hole allowing him to take the rest of the pot to add to the Blackburn Trust Fund!!
Steve Blackburn Jr. appears to have an insurmountable lead in the chase for the Thompson Cup at just the two-third mark on the season.
Next week, the Skins Game moves to Erie Shores Golf Course in Madison at 5pm with a great green fee rate featured.
