Twenty three players participated at Madison Country Club this Thursday, where the course has come back in very nice shape.
It was first-time player Mark Whitsitt from Madison who capitalized on his local knowledge. Whitsett grabbed both pin shots, worth $80.50 each, and then made the birdie putt on the 208-yard par three 9th hole for a skin worth $264.50. Whitsitt’s big night runs him right up to seventh position on the Leaderboard!
Rob Shustrich of Windham, fresh off his Sleepy Hollow Championship, had the other skin on the night worth $264.50. He made eagle on the 520 yard par five 6th hole by hitting driver, 3 wood and canning the 30 foot putt.
Next week, the Skins Game moves to Legend Lakes where the stakes will be doubled. Please note that next week’s “Double Down” event is open only to those players who have participated in four or more skin game events this season.
