Manikiki Golf Course in Willoughby Hills was the venue for Week 13 of the Greater Cleveland Skins Game competition. Nineteen players turned out and four skins were won.
Mark Foss got the action started by double-dipping on the 172-yard par three 11th hole. Foss grabbed the pin shot there worth $57 and canned the putt for a $109.25 skin.
Joey DiDonato then hit his second shot to 6 feet on the par five 13th hole and made the putt for an eagle skin.
Phil Bojc made a birdie skin on the 370-yard par four 14th hole.
On the difficult par three 15th hole, Brian Perkins grabbed the Mulligans Pin Shot worth $76.
No players birdied the short par four 16th hole!
And finally, Jerry Miller closed out the scoring by hitting it to 3 feet on the uphill 18th hole and making the putt for a skin.
That 18th hole skin pushed Miller into the fifth position on the 2014 Leaderboard, but since Jerry is now giving lessons as a pro the final exemption into the Cleveland Am went to Mike Angie.
The top five amateur players on the Greater Cleveland Skins Game Leaderboard who gained exemption into this year’s Greater Cleveland Amateur Golf Championship to be played at Manikiki in August are: Steve Blackburn Jr., Dan Predovic, Brian Perkins, John Niedzialek and Mike Angie.
Next week, the Greater Cleveland Skins Game travels to Chardon Lakes with a 5 pm start. All amateur players are welcome to participate.
