On a beautiful night at Powderhorn Golf Course in Madison, Steve Blackburn Jr. lit up the back nine in 29 shots!
Blackburn Jr. made six birdies en route to three skins and an unofficial course record score on the inward half.
He started the night by making birdie into the wind on the 440-yard long par-four 10th hole for a skin, and duplicated the effort with a birdie skin on the 400-yard uphill 11th hole.
Blackburn Jr. then hit it tight on the 165-yard par-three 14th hole to take the pin shot worth $39 and then made the putt for deuce that was also a skin.
John Niedzialek took home a skin with a birdie on the par-four 12th hole, and Geoff Nicely got on the 2014 Leaderboard with an eagle-two on the par-four 13th hole. Nicely just missed driving the green and then canned a 35 foot putt from the fringe for his eagle.
Skins were worth $59.80 each.
With his haul, Blackburn Jr. becomes the first player in 2014 to crack the four-figure mark on the Leaderboard.
Rounding out the winning on the evening was Steve Blackburn Sr. with the Mulligans Pin Shot on the 160-yard par-three 17th hole worth $52.
Next week, the Greater Cleveland Skins Game moves to Erie Shores Golf Course in Madison starting at 5pm, where players are always treated well and the course is in great shape. All amateur players are welcome!
