After a cold front roared through making it a potential rainy evening, only 11 players showed up to compete at Madison Country Club on Thursday.
Mark Foss made birdie on the 361-yard par-4 third hole with an 18 foot putt to make his first skin of the season, worth $84.33.
Dave Sotka birdied the 394-yard par-4 fifth hole by rolling in a 15 footer, then followed that up with 10-footer on the 422-yard par-4 7th, netting a smooth $168.66 in skins. He took the ‘big winner of the night’ honors as he was the only player to hit the par-3 9th hole to grab the Mulligan’s Pin Shot worth another $44.00.
Steve Blackburn Jr. hit it to 5 feet on the par-3 fourth, good for a $33.00 pin shot.
With his $212 take in an 11-player game, Sotka jumps into second position on the 2013 Leaderboard, less than $40 behind Chris Horne in the Thompson Cup chase…
