It was “Blackburn Family Fun Night” at Erie Shores Golf Course in Madison this Thursday, as the the father-and-son combo picked up three of the four skins won on the night.
Eighteen players enjoyed a picture-perfect weather day at the Shores in Madison.
Steve Blackburn Sr. came right out of the box and birdied the 370-yard par-four 10th hole for a skin, and later added an eagle skin with a 40-foot putt on the 285-yard par four 17th hole.
Steve Blackburn Jr. added a birdie skin of his own on the 185-yard par-three 16th hole making a 15-foot putt.
Mike Angie prevented a clean sweep by the Blackburns, as he claimed a skin of his own with a 10-foot birdie putt on the 330-yard par-four 11th hole.
Skins paid $103.50 each.
Home-course-favorite Brian Perkins grabbed the Mulligan’s Pin Shot on the 200-yard 11th hole that paid $72, and Nick Anagnost put his name on the Leaderboard with a pin shot on the par-three 16th hole good for $54.
Chris Horne still sits at the top of the 2013 Leaderboard, but he has failed to cash the last two weeks and the race is tightening up!
Next Thursday, May 16th, the Greater Cleveland Skins Game moves to Fowlers Mill Golf Course in Chesterland, with play starting at 5pm.
