It was the golf course itself and not the weather that battered the players on Thursday, as the Greater Cleveland Skins Game traveled to Sleepy Hollow GC in Brecksville.
The weather was ideal and the golf course was in great condition, but the field of nineteen players managed a grand total of just four birdies on the night!
In fact, nobody in the field even managed to get a par on the difficult 197-yard par three 2nd hole!
There were four skins won on the night, with each and every birdie made holding up as a skin.
Dave Sotka had the only birdie on the easy, downhill par-five 1st hole after just missing his eagle attempt.
Dan Predovic birdied the par-five 4th hole with two good shots and a standard up-and-down.
Senior player Sam Corabi provided the only real excitement of the evening, knocking in a 40-foot downhill putt on the 165-yard par three 6th hole for a birdie.
And Brecksville resident Allen Freeman birdied the short par-four ninth hole to round out the event.
Each skin paid $109.25.
Dan Predovic was the big winner on the night, as he also had two pin shots: the Mulligans pin shot on the par three 2nd hole for $57, and the shot on the 8th hole for $38.
The other pin shot winner was Mike Angie on the 6th hole for $38.
Chris Horne still sits on top of the 2013 Leaderboard, but the race is tightening!
Next week, the Greater Cleveland Skins Game moves to Erie Shores Golf Course in Madison, where players can enjoy a great green fee rate of $16.50 that includes the cart!
