The Greater Cleveland Skins Game finally saw fast and firm conditions on a golf course this year!
Fourteen players made it out to Powderhorn in Madison on Thursday, and three skins were won.
John Niedzialek started the night out with a tap-in birdie on the 440-yard par four 1st hole.
Steve Blackburn Sr. made birdie from 12-feet on the 350-yard par-four sixth hole.
And the last skin went to Dave Sotka, who double dipped by hitting it to 15-feet on the difficult 210-yard par-three 8th hole and making the putt.
Skins were worth $107.33 each. Sotka’s Mulligan’s pin shot on number 8 paid $56.
Blackburn Sr. double-dipped as well, grabbing the other pin shot on the 150-yard par-three 5th hole by hitting it to 12 feet. But he could not make the birdie putt. His pin shot paid $42.
Six holes were birdied or eagled on the night. Eagles by Niedzialek and Perkins cancelled out on the par-five 4th hole!
Next week, the Greater Cleveland Skins Game moves to Fowlers Mill with play starting at 5pm.
Also, it is now official: the 2013 Greater Cleveland Shoot-Out Tournament to be held on September 2nd Labor Day at Chardon Lakes at 12 Noon. The entry form will be available soon. Participants in this event must qualify by playing in five or more Greater Cleveland Skins Game events prior to Labor Day; Past Champions need to have played in three events.
