It was “Double Down” night at Manikiki Golf Course on Thursday, a three times per season special event where the stakes are doubled.
Three skins were won on the night.
Leader Steve Blackburn Jr. added to his season-leading total (which is now nearly $600 in front!) by making a 12-foot putt for eagle on the par-five 12th hole.
Nick Anagnost made birdie on the short par-four 16th, which also held up for a skin.
And Steve Blackburn Sr. capped off the night with a birdie on the 400-yard par-four 17th hole with a 12 foot putt as well.
Skins paid $138 each.
John Niedzialek grabbed both pin shots on the night including the Mulligan’s Pin Shot by hitting it to 8-feet on the 190-yard 11th hole, while everyone missed the green on the 15th hole. Both pin shots paid a total of $126.
Next week, the Greater Cleveland Skins Game moves to Powderhorn in Madison with a 5pm start.
Players are reminded that they need to play in 5 or more events to be eligible for this year’s “Greater Cleveland Shoot” to be played on Labor Day.
