Get out the brooms!
Mike Angie made a clean sweep out at Fowlers Mill Golf Course in Chesterland on July 4th, taking home the entire skins pot and both pin shots!
Angie’s birdie on the 190-yard par three 7th hole was all he needed.
Only three birdies were made in the entire 12-person field at Fowlers under relatively soft and easy conditions.
The par-five 5th hole was the only other hole birdied.
Angie earned the Mulligans Pin Shot by hitting it to 15-feet on the 200-yard par-three 3rd hole.
He then hit it to 15-feet yet again on the par-three 7th hole to win the pin shot there, then followed that up by making the birdie putt.
It was the first “clean sweep” in the Greater Cleveland Skins Game in several years.
Angie’s skin was worth $276; his two pin shots were worth $84 for a $360 day.
Angie’s big day moves him into fourth spot on the 2013 Leaderboard.
Only two weeks remain where the top five players on the Leaderboard gain exempt status to the 2013 Greater Cleveland Amateur Championship to be played at Sleepy Hollow in August.
Next week Thursday, July 11th, the Skins Game moves to Sleepy Hollow with a 5 p.m. start.
