The Greater Cleveland Skins teed off on the River Nine at Fowlers Mill Golf Course in Chesterland on the last Thursday of the summer, and the weather was ideal.
But Mark Borlin seemed to enjoy the evening more than others.
Borlin finished the round with two skins and a pin shot: he birdied the 340-yard 11th hole, then double-dipped the 175-yard par-three 17th hole by hitting it 4 feet from the hole and making his birdie putt.
Borlin’s skins were worth $63.25 each and his pin shot was worth $38.50.
Steve Blackburn Jr. extended his lead in the season totals by making birdie on the 430-yard par-four 15th hole to win a skin.
The last skin of the night went to Mark Foss, who tapped in for birdie after nearly reaching the green in two shots on the 540-yard par-five 18th hole.
Joey DiDonato took home the other pin shot on the 180-yard par-three 13th hole, good for $38.50.
Next week, the Greater Cleveland Skins Game travels to Legend Lakes Country Club with a 4:30 starting time.
Only 3 weeks remain in the season as Blackburn Jr. has his sights set on taking home the Thompson Cup!
