Under perfect weather conditions, the stakes were doubled on Thursday at Fowlers Mill Golf Course in Chesterland for the second “Double Down” night of the 2012 season.
Tim Cebula took advantage, but the final results could have been a lot different had Cebula converted on a squirrely putt.
Cebula hit it to five feet on the 215-yard par-three third hole to take home the pin shot there worth $119. Normally automatic from short range, he missed the twisting birdie putt.
Phil Bojc took advantage of Cebula’s miss, chipping in for a birdie there earning himself a $195.50 skin!
But Cebula came right back on the signature hole, the long par-4 fourth, by hitting driver and eight iron to six feet and making the birdie for a skin there worth $195.50.
Dave Sotka positioned himself on the Leaderboard to make a run for the top spot by making a birdie skin on the difficult par-4 sixth hole, from 12 feet.
And Joey DiDonato closed out the skins scoring by hitting it to 1-foot on the par-4 ninth hole for a skin.
Bob Karshner took home the other $119 pin shot on the 165-yard seventh hole.
Next week, the Greater Cleveland Skins Game moves for the first time to Painesville Country Club starting at 5pm.
