The skies were threatening rain, thunder and lightning, but it turned out to be a very comfortable evening at Aurora Country Club on Thursday night for 17 players.
Mark Foss, who holds down the second-position on the 2012 Leaderboard, made a move to catch current frontrunner Steve Blackburn Jr. — but the move was a short-lived one.
Foss birdied the par-four 4th hole for a skin, but Blackburn Jr. answered back with a skin of his own with a solid birdie at the long par four 8th hole.
Mark Borlin hit a great shot with an 8 iron to six feet away on the signature par-four 5th hole over the valley and made the putt for a skin.
Don Reynolds of Painesville continued his hot streak by grabbing a chip-in skin on the par four 9th hole for the last skin on the night.
Skins paid $97.75 each.
Bob Karshner claimed the only pin shot of the evening by hitting it to 3-feet on the short par-three third hole. The Mulligan’s pin shot paid him $119.
Next week, the Greater Cleveland Skins Game travels to Madison Country Club, with play starting at 5 p.m.
